Part Time Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a Part Time Accounting Clerk to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves performing accounts payable functions, reviewing invoice and reimbursement submissions, and maintaining vendor records. Responsibilities:

• Review and process accounts payable for various entities, ensuring proper approval authorization and coding on invoices.
• Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate electronic copies of invoices and payment batches.
• Assist with the maintenance of vendor records and data files.
• Review and verify the accuracy of Cash Receivable, Journal Entry, and invoice batches.
• Handle mailing out the payments efficiently after running mailing envelopes through postage meter.
• Use accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and Great Plains to process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for updating and tracking accounting spreadsheets for reconciliation and auditing purposes.
• Assist in the review of reimbursement submissions and ensure all applicable backup for AP entry is accurately scanned.
• Handle the scanning of invoices, AP payment batch check register, checks with backup, and checks for filing.
• Ensure the proper filing of AP paper and electronic copies.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge and experience in Billing procedures
• Ability to efficiently perform Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle software
• Experience with QuickBooks software
• Knowledge and experience in SAP software
• Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
