We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of HR practices and processes in our growing construction company. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting business objectives through strategic HR initiatives.
Job Description- Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Provide guidance to management on workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational development and talent management.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and retain top talent in the construction industry.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Develop relationships with trade schools, universities, and industry associations to build a pipeline of talent.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and foster a positive work environment.
- Resolve workplace issues effectively, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
- Promote open communication and ensure alignment with company values.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update company policies, handbooks, and HR documentation.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs and create professional development programs.
- Coordinate safety training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
- Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee payroll processes and administer employee benefits programs.
- Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Communicate benefits updates and assist employees with enrollment and inquiries.
- Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems and facilitate regular feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with managers to set clear goals and development plans for employees.
- Address underperformance issues with actionable improvement plans.

The Successful Applicant- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in construction, engineering, or a similar industry is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of labor laws, OSHA compliance, and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
