As a Telecommunications Technician, your role involves analyzing intricate local and wide area network systems. This includes planning, designing, assessing, and configuring operating systems as well as protocol suites for both virtualized and containerized environments.

Your duties as a Telecommunications Technician will encompass:

  • Troubleshooting challenging interoperability issues to ensure functionality across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes.
  • Loading and configuring cloud servers along with vendor equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches.
  • Assisting in the procurement of hardware, software, and services from subcontractors.
  • Serving as a technical project leader or providing guidance to junior staff when necessary.

This position requires 100% onsite work.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Experience with conducting integration and system level testing of telecommunications systems or platforms
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper or equivalent networking equipment
  • Experience with VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker
  • Experience with Linux or OpenStack
  • Knowledge of telephony and telecommunication
  • Knowledge of networking services
  • Knowledge of software defined networking
