Legal Secretary - Robert Half

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary in the Legal industry, based in San Francisco, California. The role involves supporting construction defect litigation and casualties, with a mix of remote, hybrid, and in-office work settings, particularly with an in-office requirement for the first week.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in e-filing and communicate effectively with calendaring clerk
• Provide support in civil litigation, including preparing and issuing subpoenas
• Utilize Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, for straightforward correspondence and pleadings
• Provide backup coverage for the legal secretary role when required
• Support one associate in their daily operations
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all tasks
• Showcase strong communication skills in all internal and external interactions
• Manage legal documentation and records with a high level of accuracy
• Utilize LexisNexis, Management System, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and e-Filing systems effectively
• Handle billing functions, briefing, calendar management, dictation, and documentation tasks effectively. • Proficiency in using LexisNexis for legal research and documentation
• Experience in managing legal management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to handle billing functions effectively and efficiently
• Experience in briefing legal cases and presenting them to the legal team
• Ability to manage calendars for multiple attorneys, including scheduling meetings and court appearances
• Proficiency in taking and transcribing dictation accurately and efficiently
• Experience in creating, organizing, and maintaining legal documentation
• Knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures
• Proficiency in personal injury law and personal injury litigation
• Knowledge of construction defect litigation
• Experience with e-Filing and e-File systems in the legal industry.
