Construction Litigation Attorney

A mid-size law firm in Seattle is looking to add a Construction Litigation Attorney to their Litigation department. This position will largely involve handling issues related to construction litigation, including procurement-related issues, contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, and claim documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with multiple partners, managing responsibilities for different cases.
• Prepare discovery and respond to requests such as admissions, disclosures, interrogatories, depositions, and orders.
• Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and managing attorneys to understand client concerns and provide sound legal advice.
• Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents impacting the firm’s clients.
• Utilize strong written and critical thinking skills to produce comprehensive and persuasive writing.
• Communicate clearly and logically with clients, courts, and counsel.
• Organize and manage documents from multiple sources during multidistrict and complex litigation.
