Our client's Navy Yard office is a high-profile workspace dedicated to global public policy and government affairs. The team includes a large lobbying group, and the office frequently hosts members of Congress, CEOs, and high-profile visitors.

They are seeking a professional and energetic Receptionist to support their dynamic and specialized office. This role will be at the front desk alongside security, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and staff while managing essential administrative tasks.

salary: $20 - $23 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Reception Duties: Greet and guide visitors, answer phones, and maintain professionalism at the front desk.
  • Administrative Support: Update phone lists, reserve conference rooms, and assist with scheduling.
  • Café Maintenance: Replenish café supplies (drinks, napkins, paper towels), clean the coffee machine daily, and ensure water coolers are replaced (with a handcart).
  • Security Support: Work alongside security to ensure desk coverage at all times, monitor access, and operate the door release button.
  • Visitor Assistance: Help coordinate visitor movement within the office and manage high-profile guest arrangements.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in receptionist or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Great organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Comfort working in a high-profile setting with corporate leaders and government officials.
  • Familiarity with office software systems for scheduling and communication.
