Registered Nurse Emergency Room - RNER24-14659

Job Description:

• The Emergency Room RN is responsible for providing critical care to patients in the ER, ensuring swift and accurate assessments, interventions, and care during high-stress situations. The RN will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to stabilize patients and manage a wide range of medical emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly assess patients' conditions upon arrival, identifying the severity of illness or injury to prioritize treatment.
• Provide care for patients experiencing medical emergencies such as trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other life-threatening situations.
• Safely administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Continuously monitor patients for changes in condition and respond rapidly to critical situations.
• Work in coordination with physicians, specialists, and support staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, treatments, and outcomes in the facility’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families regarding treatments, procedures, and care plans.

Requirements:

Experience:

• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required).
• Experience handling high-acuity patients and working in a fast-paced environment (preferred).

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) (required).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) (required).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) (preferred).
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) (preferred).

Licensure:

• Michigan RN License or Compact License (required).
