We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in the Retail - Furniture industry based in Stamford, Connecticut. As an Inventory Clerk, your role will primarily involve managing and recording shipping data, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, and addressing related inquiries.

• Handle the influx of shipments by correctly entering shipping data into the system
• Utilize computer data entry skills to maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records
• Assist in resolving inquiries related to shipping and inventory data
• Conduct regular checks on inventory records to ensure accuracy
• Act promptly in case of any discrepancies or issues in shipping data or inventory records
• Perform data entry tasks to support the management of inventory and shipments
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient handling of shipments. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry, preferably in furniture retail.
• Proficient in computer data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Strong understanding of inventory management processes and systems.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, moving, and counting inventory items.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in business or supply chain management will be considered an asset.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.
