Responsibilities:

Uses marketing concepts in performing non-complex responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans, drafting promotional or marketing materials, working on marketing events, conducting basic market research, etc.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Email marketing system support, creating HTML emails (design and copy) and scheduling emails for distribution
  • Assistance in creating campaign pages on Giving Day platform
  • Proofreading and editing content provided by campus partners
  • Assisting with writing video scripts
  • Creating digital marketing collateral for email, social media, and Giving Day platform
  • Support with data segmentation for email campaigns
  • Data entry and managing spreadsheet tracking system for donor stewardship projects.

Pay Rate: $28.07/hour

Required:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Suite, HTML, content management systems/email marketing systems, writing and editing experience.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Experience in Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop/Creative Cloud.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of institutional products and services.
  • Knowledge of the campus and / or medical center including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards / procedures.
  • Organizational skills and skills in file creation, maintenance and management.
  • Written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in communications, marketing, fundraising or administrative role
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.

Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver’s License for driving university vehicles.

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
