This position reports to
Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilities- Executes the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.
- Operates machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.
- Performs routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairs and fits simple replacement parts.
- Ensures the availability of required materials to execute the assigned work according to defined workflow.
- Ensures regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tool set-up, programming activities, and troubleshoots and reports issues, if any.
- Maintains a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.
- Maintains detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Keeps track of approved, defective units, and final products
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required
- Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools.
- Knowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain
- Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
- Ability to use crane or other lifting devices, as needed
- Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language
- Basic computer skills to be able to look up parts.
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic communication skills
- Hand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands
