Payroll HR Manager

Robert Half is looking to staff a Payroll HR Manager with our well-respected client! This Payroll HR Manager will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department and will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll processing from start to finish, including the calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing on a regular basis.
- Manage and reconcile payroll discrepancies, addressing and resolving any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws and wage and hour regulations.
- Assist with preparation and filing of required payroll reports and tax documents.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401k retirement plans, and other insurances offered.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll and benefits-related inquiries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Utilize payroll software and systems effectively, recommending upgrades or changes as needed.
The ideal Payroll HR Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Payroll HR Manager position include and are not limited to:
- 2+ years’ experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll software and systems.
- Working knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- Must possess strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail is crucial for success.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
