HR Generalist

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist in Hampden, Maine. In this role, you will be handling various HR-related tasks, such as benefits coordination, communication, compliance, and back up to payroll. This position is an integral part of our team, ensuring that our HR operations run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the enrollment process of employee benefits and address any related issues that may arise.
• Ensure accurate payroll data entry and provide backup support for payroll tasks.
• Communicate company policies to employees and work towards ensuring compliance.
• Act as a primary contact for HR-related inquiries and basic employee relations matters.
• Generate reports, draft correspondence, and prepare HR documentation as needed.
• Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in audit procedures and the preparation of compliance-related documentation.
• Carry out other administrative duties as assigned related to HR functions.
• Experience in Benefit Functions is crucial, including creating, implementing, and managing benefits programs.
• Excellent Communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, management, and third-party vendors.
• Knowledge of Compliance is necessary to ensure all HR policies and procedures meet federal and state laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle Employee Relations effectively, including conflict resolution and employee engagement activities.
• Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is required to manage employee leaves accurately.
• Experience in Benefits Coordination, including liaising with benefits providers and managing employee benefits queries.
• Expertise in Benefits Administration, including managing enrollments, terminations, and answering employee queries.
