The Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Marketing & Communications department at Wellington, bringing our story to life through engaging digital content. This role is designed for a strategic thinker and a proactive doer—someone who thrives on creativity and execution.
As the primary manager of our social media presence and website, the Marketing Coordinator will utilize skills in photography, videography, and design to enhance brand awareness and attract prospective families. The ideal candidate is energized by mission-driven work and excited to collaborate with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy focused on driving inquiries, supporting re-enrollment, and meeting fundraising goals.
- Create compelling daily content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) using photography, videography, and graphic design, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, providing insights and recommendations to enhance engagement.
- Analyze social media metrics and connect insights to enrollment, re-enrollment, and fundraising efforts.
- Regularly update website content to enhance user experience and effectively inform prospective families.
- Monitor website analytics, using data to inform strategies that drive inquiries and support enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with web development partners for significant website updates.
- Capture and convey the Wellington story through photo and some video documentation of classroom activities and school events for various platforms.
- Oversee Vidigami, our secure photo-sharing platform, ensuring it showcases our community effectively.
- Assist in the strategic planning and execution of admissions and development campaigns, and school-wide initiatives.
- Coordinate with freelance creatives—designers, photographers, and videographers—for major campaigns and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a marketing role
- A passion for exploring trends and innovating strategies
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Stellar visual, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and current trends
- Proficient in graphic design tools such as Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Basic photography and videography skills; experience with a DSLR camera is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a close-knit, collaborative team
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
