Billing Clerk

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the Service industry, located in East Syracuse, New York. The role involves ensuring accurate customer invoices based on work performed and parts sold, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and managing customer portal documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Create and process customer invoices based on work performed and parts sold within the Service Department.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to billing.
• Manage and update customer portal documentation as needed.
• Utilize technology to efficiently manage and organize billing data.
• Accommodate different billing requirements as per customer needs.
• Continually monitor and update customer accounts for accuracy.
• Resolve customer inquiries regarding billing and account status.
• Retain a wide variety of information to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
• Utilize billing skills to ensure the accuracy of customer records.
• Take appropriate actions based on monitoring of customer accounts. • Proven experience in a billing or similar role within the service industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures.
• Familiarity with financial and accounting principles.
• Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
