Senior Pump Application Engineer (Inside Sales) - Owensboro

The successful individual should possess working knowledge of Pumps (such as AOD, Positive Displacement and Centrifugal) to join our team based in our Owensboro, KY office.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customers
- Understand & implement policy to achieve both customer & company goals
- Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
- Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, & other pertinent data
- Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
- Aid in the design & development of equipment & systems, & redesign of existing systems
- Work closely with outside sales for prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints & failures
- Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders & assist sales & fabrication with project related questions
- Articulate technical features of products and assist customers in proper selection and sizing
- Actively maintain the workflow for this division by:
- Preparing & following up on customer quotations & bid proposals
- Interface with outside sales, and service teams on customer needs, engineering assistance, and account intelligence
- Phone interaction with customers & vendors
- Work closely with our Service and Production team developing custom pumping systems and skid packages.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 1 year of applicable experience preferred, but not required
- Preferred knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment & fabricated pumping systems
- Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results
- Well-organized & self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Effective negotiating skills
- Project management experience and team work skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Solid Works or AutoCAD
- B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Technical Degree or relevant work experience
- Ability to travel a few times a year to vendor sites, our Cincinnati corporate office and/or with outside sales for training and assistance
