Electronics Lab Technician

Overview:

PDF Solutions is looking for an Electronic Lab Technician

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to engineering teams, troubleshooting issues, identifying and resolving problems.
• Assist hardware design, setup, execution, and documentation of tests and experiments.
• Assist in building R&D prototypes, implement R&D projects, and reorganize the R&D lab
• Use schematics to troubleshoot and test different stages of PCB/PCBA.
• Support a prototype lab area to meet daily requirements and production schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering fields. Associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, will be considered.
• Proficiency in basic engineering principles, testing methodologies, data collection, and technical documentation.
• Experience with electronics assembly and rework, including soldering, component identification and selection, and adherence to IPC standards.
• Experience to hand rework SMD parts, including 0201, 0402, and 0603 and fine pitch BGA, QFN, QFP, and TQFN package.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital volt meters, power supplies, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.
• Ability to read schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to operate various types of soldering irons and surface mount stations.
• Ability to build prototype boards through schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, maintaining flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Pay Range: USD $40,000.00 - USD $60,000.00 /Yr.
