Staff Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. This role is based in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will be to ensure accurate financial records, work on problem resolution, and maintain customer accounts among other tasks.

• Demonstrate leadership skills by coordinating within the team for problem resolution and meeting deadlines.
• Exhibit strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with different stakeholders.
• Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and other financial systems for efficient data handling.
• Handle sensitive information with utmost care and confidentiality.
• Exhibit ingenuity and initiative in resolving conflicting priorities and meeting assignment deadlines.
• Independently develop solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating various precedents and data.
• Show a willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities as needed.
• Demonstrate good planning, organization, and time management skills for efficient workflow.
• Participate in implementing process and systems improvements when required. • Possesses strong communication skills to effectively interact with different teams within the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite for data management and presentations
• Demonstrates good planning and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Has leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff members
• Proficient in using different computer applications and systems relevant to the role
• Able to resolve problems efficiently and develop effective solutions
• Has strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data
• Knowledge in technical accounting and financial systems is required
• Must be able to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
• Demonstrates ingenuity in approaching financial tasks and challenges
• Understanding of EO/IR systems in the energy sector is a plus.
