The Importance of the RoleThe Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting reports directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and works closely with other functions, including SG&A business partners and FP&A, to ensure a timely and complete monthly close and forecasting process.
The Senior Accountant will be a key individual contributor, whose principal responsibilities will be the preparation of monthly accruals for the SG&A business operation, recording of lease expense for the company’s real estate lease portfolio, accounting for fixed asset activity, operational accounting of outstanding debt and investments, and analysis of budget vs actual.

- Key contributor in the monthly close and financial reporting process
- Responsible for the reporting of actuals for a majority of SG&A functions, working with FP&A and the business to understand key drivers and variances
- Account for the Company’s real estate leases under ASC 842 and fixed asset activity
- Be the main Finance point-of-contact for SG&A business partner, including providing guidance to any inquiry of actuals, and vendor management.
- Preparation and recording of monthly journal entries with required supporting documentation
- Ensure account reconciliations are accurate and fully reconciled in several areas including but not limited to prepaids and SG&A accruals, and resolve any resulting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare and manage SG&A budgets and forecasts with relevant business partners
- Responsible for SOX 404 compliance in assigned areas
- Ensure responsible areas are complete and accurate in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Respond to audit support requests and inquiries related to the external and internal audit firms’ testing
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly flux analyses for budget vs. actuals and period on period actuals vs. actuals
- Assist in the streamlining of accounting business processes to improve productivity and create operating efficiencies across the company
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as assigned in the areas of SG&A expense and facilities activity.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in accounting; preferably with experience in public accounting
- CPA or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight periodic reporting deadlines
- Willingness to learn from team members and adapt to growing business needs
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Confident relationship management skills and comfortable communicator to all levels of the business
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently, but embraces teamwork and collaboration
- Effective critical thinking skills to brainstorm process improvements and create efficiencies
- Experience in using large ERP systems is a plus, preferably Oracle, though full training will be provided
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and an interest in data analytics tools or process automation

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.The targeted salary range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
