Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair diesel and gas-powered fleet trucks.
- Service and repair heavy equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventive checks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services.
- Assist with emergency breakdowns and road service calls.
- Consulting the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required
- Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
- Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
- Preform and maintain DOT inspection compliance on fleet vehicles and trailers
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on gas and diesel engines, heavy equipment.
- Certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology is a plus.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
