Residential Painter

Overview:

As a Painter specializing in multifamily communities, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes using various equipment, and performing sheetrock repairs and installations. Your duties will include washing, scraping, sanding, priming surfaces, mixing and matching paint colors, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

You will also maintain a clean work area, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to deliver excellent results.

Responsibilities:

The activities listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of activities normally performed in this role. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Perform sheetrock repairs and installations, including taping, mudding, and sanding.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience.
  • Proficiency in using painting equipment such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
  • Experience with sheetrock repairs and installations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions.

All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to consent to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
