Accounting Specialist

Our client offers a generous benefits package which includes plentiful paid time off, and employer paid insurance. The accounting team works remotely roughly 90% of the time with occasional on site days for training, meetings, team building, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and document modifications or refund requests from customers.
• Ensure all financial reports align with account balances and other office records.
• Facilitate vendor payments, including verifying federal ID numbers, and address any discrepancies.
• Prepare and issue invoices for programs and services such as Onsite Exam Delivery (OED).
• Regularly enter journal entries to debit and credit the organization’s accounts.
• Reconcile monthly statements and transactions with accounting records and ledgers.
• Verify and reconcile expense reports.
• Identify discount opportunities and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in account reconciliation
• Demonstrated experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Solid background in billing and invoice processing
• Strong data entry skills
• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Experience with Great Plains Accounting software is preferred
