Data Warehousing Developer

Responsibilities:

• Quickly develop an understanding of complex data models and data.
• Design, develop, test and implement new programs, as well as maintain and refine existing programs:
• Develop test plans and perform unit and integration testing. Identify possible regression impacts and perform related testing.
• Develop and monitor program runtime error and exception handling applications, using automated notification and self-correction techniques where appropriate.
• Track errors and exceptions through to appropriate resolution.
• Serve as a technical/business analyst, working with technical and non-technical personnel to define requirements.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Maintain appropriate records regarding problem situations and their resolutions.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Minimum five years of hands-on experience building data queries; writing SQL of a complex nature, developing data extraction and loading scripts, and developing Microsoft and Oracle packages, functions and stored procedures.
• Excellent skills with Windows/Linux scripting languages, java, file transfer protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to understand data exchange and interface requirements and utilize data extraction, transformation and load techniques.
• Ability to monitor existing production programs and perform troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques.
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator and GoldenGate is a plus.
• Candidate must be mature and responsible and have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Candidate must work well independently and within a team.
