Description:
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Northshire Assistant Director, the Outpatient Clinician provides a wide variety of clinical services to mental health and/or substance use clients, including clinical case management services, consultation, and education services to area schools, agencies, and the community at large.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 0 DIRECT CLINICAL SERVICES:
Facilitates appropriate referrals for other services when necessary. May provide specialized assessment/screening services based on professional concentration and training, i.e. psychological testing, substance use evaluations, etc.
- 0 CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION SERVICES:
Provides liaison services between two sponsoring agencies so as to coordinate services to clients.
- 0 CLINICAL CASE MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL SUPPORT:
Provides concurrent case management services on an as needed basis. These services may include service coordination with other agencies and services; collateral contacts with other family members or significant others in client's life; telephone support to clients or collaterals; social support services for locating, developing, or providing care services; or treatment planning session.
- 0 CLINICAL RECORD-KEEPING:
Initiates and maintains in a timely and thorough manner the wide variety of record keeping and administrative documentation required to account for our services to clients. Such work includes, but is not limited to, client-specific assessments, case services, and progress notes, time sheets.
- 0 ADMINISTRATIVE, AGENCY, AND CLINICAL TEAM MEETINGS:
- In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE / CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or related human services field. Additionally, specialty positions require the clinician to be licensed or eligible for a license in Vermont and rostered.Minimum requirement of one year experience preferred.
