OVERVIEW

The Director of Field Operations is responsible for the project management, installation and customer support of Eos systems globally. The Director of Field Operations is accountable for the timely installation and commissioning of field project as well as customer service and support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES
  • Manage planning for project physical development including logistics and installation
  • Build up a service organization as Eos expands, hires, trains and develops a team of field service engineers and customer support personnel
  • Foresee and manage permitting, certification and other project implementation or hardware issues in each geography
  • Coordinate and train Integration partners and EPC for installation, repair and maintenance
  • Create and manage field operations (installation, repair, maintenance) documentation
  • Ensure project deadlines, milestones, deliveries and documentation are met in accordance with the contract/PO
  • Continually implement and drive continuous improvement of safety programs and communications
  • Manage the implementation and operation of a warranty program
  • Communicate field operations issues and ideas to product engineering and design team
  • Attend design reviews and implement previous lessons learned and Feedback of Experience for optimization of field execution
  • Prepare job status reports, reports to customers, time and expense sheets

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of utility industry and plant operations
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) culture
  • Strong ability to work effectively with work groups across the organization.
  • Solid management experience, including the ability to set and manage large budgets and resources, preferably in large industrial or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of the financial impact of decisions with respect to budgets, contracts and organization objectives.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a quick and nimble fashion
  • Excellent analytical, communication and management skills with a customer service focus.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and effectively negotiate with customers and contractors to resolve disputes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of project management
  • 10+ year field operations and service experience
