Head of Insurance Operational Risk Management

About Our Client

Join a fast growing risk management department within an Insurance firm.

• Lead the 2nd Line of Defense Operational Risk oversight for various First Line Functions across the firm.
• Act as an independent challenge function to the business by providing feedback and escalation.
• Conduct deep-dives and targeted risk assessments of areas and processes of concern.
• Record and analyze Operational Risk Events, suggesting and monitoring remediation actions to mitigate control weaknesses.
• Lead regular risk meetings with senior stakeholders and review Business Unit RCSAs, KRIs, and Events.

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, finance, law, business administration, or a related field required.
• 10-15+ years of experience in Risk Management or Insurance departments within a corporation or insurance brokerage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Responsible for claims management and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
