Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Help with payroll processing and record maintenance.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions.
- Assist with audits and compliance activities as needed.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
