Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accurate record-keeping. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments.
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Help with payroll processing and record maintenance.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions.
• Assist with audits and compliance activities as needed.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
