We are in the search for an experienced CFO to lead our financial operations and strategy in the construction industry, based in the East Bay California. The CFO will be instrumental in managing financial processes, including time and materials billing and government contracts, leveraging construction ERP systems, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Manage time and materials billing processes, collaborating with project managers to monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures
  • Handle financial aspects of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining relationships with government agencies
  • Utilize construction ERP systems to enhance financial operations, including material management, procurement, and inventory control
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects and operations, developing strategies to manage cash flow, bonding, and insurance requirements
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and detail-oriented development
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
  • Must have knowledge of Business Systems
  • Experience with CRM systems is necessary
  • Must be adept with all Accounting Functions
  • Auditing experience is essential
  • Familiarity with Budget Processes is a must
  • Capital Management experience is required
  • Must have proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis
  • Experience in preparing Annual Audited Financial Statements is required
  • Must be capable of preparing and interpreting Financial Statements
  • Experience in preparing Monthly Financial Statements is necessary
  • Detail oriented in Payroll (CPP certification is a plus)
  • Must have experience in Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Must be proficient in preparing Income Statements
  • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is necessary
