Collections Specialist II

This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts via mail, telephone, or personal visit to solicit payment
• Receive payments and post amounts paid to customer accounts
• Maintain accurate records of collections
• Confer with customers via telephone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments
• Review the terms of sales, services, or credit contracts with customers
• Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, damage claims, or non-payable checks or to return merchandise
• Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations
• Document and record customer/client information accurately
• Adhere to federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to collections
• Use Microsoft Word and other relevant collections software to manage and process customer information. • Demonstrated ability in Customer Service and Sales
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and other Computer Programs
• Experience in Payment Processing and Check Processing
• Knowledge of Collection Processes and Procedures
• Ability to Review and understand Contracts
• Familiarity with Merchandising and Company Policy
• Proficiency in Claim Administration and Regulation
• Understanding of Credit systems and Overdrafts
• Strong Negotiation skills and experience in managing Customer Accounts
• Experience in dealing with Delinquencies and performing the role of a Collector
• Excellent Written Communication skills
• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks
• Knowledge and experience in Repayment processes
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software would be A Plus.
