Cost Accounting Manager

Essential Functions:
o Maintaining Purchase costs between entities
o Rolling Standards Annually and as needed
o Making sure that all new items set-up are accurate with a BOM and Route or third party cost.
o Ensuring that all Freight costs are added as necessary to intercompany costing and purchased costing
o Validating all Purchase Price Variances and the accurate standard for each part- All Inventory transactions are under the responsibility of this position, including but not limited to:
o Coordinating all Inventory physical counts and audits
o Ensuring that all facilities are accurately counting their inventory via cycle counts
o Work Orders are properly being closed out and materials and labor issues accordingly.
o All new inventory parts are accurately set-up with the correct financial information.
o Ensuring any discrepancies with Receipts or order issues are resolved.- Month-End Closing Responsibilities:
o Ensuring accurate costs are established on all items and that the preferred vendor for each item is accounted for (Approximately 25k active sku’s for each warehouse)
Working with the plants to confirm inventory is closed.
Consolidating WIP Analysis at all locations – including allocating 50% of Labor and OH and 100% of Materials for all WO’s that are in process.
Work with all facilities to ensure that all items have been marked as shipped before the end of the month and confirm that any older items have an explanation for not being shipped.
Ensure there is no Negative Inventory at month-end
Confirm transfer orders are being received timely
Review all Freight transactions from Indore facility and accrue as necessary
Confirm In-Transit inventory is accurate between all entities
Record Depreciation and asset changes within Fixed Assets each month, including:
Working to get approvals and validations of all CER’s
Maintaining invoices for all actuals
Confirming all items truly are a fixed asset and can be recorded as such
Adding and removing assets with proper approvals
Recording Depreciation
Maintaining the manual ledger for all Assets- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cost Accounting Manager role or similar position
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports is expected
- Proficient in using Epicor software
- Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial
- Must have a deep understanding of Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
- Prior experience in Auditing is required
- Knowledge of Budget Processes is essential
- Expertise in Cost Accounting is a must
