- Schedule:
- Temporary Schedule: 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday-Saturday (3 day shifts) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday, Friday, Saturday (rotates every 4 weeks)

We are making improvements to enhance our new location and showcase our world-class safety culture. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient repair of equipment, preventative maintenance and fabrication of projects associated with terminal operations.
DURING A TYPICAL DAY (IF THERE IS ONE)…- Install, troubleshoot and repair various electrical components and systems.
- Inspect electrical components and complete preventative maintenance.
- Ensure electrical equipment and wiring conform to code.
- Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade team members.
- Install, repair and maintain terminal machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments.
- Use hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools on a variety of projects.
- Dismantle and repair various machinery.
- Identify hand tools, fasteners and other equipment used in the trade and distinguish their applications.
- Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Assemble or fasten machines, bolts, welds, and rivets to foundations or other structures.
- STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of previous electrical experience required.
- 3 – 5 years of previous maintenance experience required.
- You have basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the millwright field.
- Experience with MIG and stick welding tools preferred.
- Ability to plan work, solve problems and make decisions based on quantifiable information.
- You are a self-driven, energetic and a team player.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.
- You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You’re capable of learning new programs.

- The work environment at POET is dynamic. You should expect a balance between time spent in the office and in the terminal, which may include some physical labor helping your team members.
- Specific physical requirements may include:
- Occasionally lifting weight up to sixty (60) pounds.
- Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.
- Occasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.
- Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.
- Walking up to two (2) or more miles per day.
- Pushing brooms, shovels, etc.
- Working at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
