Cashier - Bingo (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
The Bingo Cashier provides support by selling all bingo paper.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a courteous attitude towards guests and team members at all times.
- Sell Bingo admissions and bonus packs.
- Sell Magic 2000 hand-held machines.
- Responsible and accountable for funds from all cash transactions occurring during shift.
- Insure that proper paperwork is completed at the beginning and end of shift.
- Understands and adheres to all Title 31 procedures.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of bingo operations. Effective communication skills. Ability to handle detailed instructions, relate to others and have a courteous attitude under pressure. Excellent math skills with experience in cash handling. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all gaming and personnel matters.Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of high stakes Bingo and cash handling experience. Must have at least six months of work experience related to the duties described. Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform in fast paced and goal oriented environment.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Exceptional public speaking skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to guests or team members.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationship with staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit.The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday.Position may require overtime.
