Concord Medical Center, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join their practice. This is a Full time opportunity.

Responsibilities: (List does not include all duties assigned)
  • Supervises front office and file room personnel to maximize efficiency and minimize errors. Handles tasks directly, if necessary, to ensure completion.
  • Ensures that staff greets and checks in patients, while verifying and updating necessary information in the medical records.
  • Ensures that staff maintains computerized scheduling and follows office scheduling policies.
  • Ensures that staff answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information.
  • Ensures that other office functions, such as charge entry, are handled timely and accurately.
  • Ensures that staff processes charts, mail and other paperwork properly.
  • Provides meaningful training to staff and monitors their understanding and implementation of training.
  • Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.
  • Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Skills in administering all appropriate clinical procedures.
  • Skills in supervisory, organizational and communications skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public.
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities for self and others.
Education: High School Diploma required.

Experience: Prefer one year experience in a medical office setting.
