Responsibilities:
Major Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the quality processes, methods, and management system to ensure materials that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations based upon a broad scope of experience. Ensure that these quality processes, methods, and management system meet or exceed the requirements of our ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 Certifications and are consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and quality goals.Perform roles and responsibilities in accordance with direction from the Quality Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate, assign and lead customer complaints using 8D methodology utilizing cross functional teams as appropriate to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Delegated Quality Representative (DQR) for Aerospace and other customers.
- Manage/participate in Material Review Board for nonconforming materials along with analyzing data for improvements.
- Lead/participate in AQP activities relating to quality including specification review, processing requirements, and sampling plans.
- Recommends and implements improvements to manufacturing processes, methods, and controls through data trending and analysis.
- Lead/participate in internal, customer and 3^rd party audits and process reviews to standards including ISO 9001, AS9100 AS13100 and applicable customer specifications/standards.
- Manage and complete PPAP utilizing customer defined portals as applicable.
- Manage/participate in customer Zero Defect Programs (ZDP).
- Performs product/process analysis and implements continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, scrap reduction, yield improvements and efficiency.
- Evaluates, troubleshoots, and solves production/material problems on the shop floor.
- Assists in training shop floor associates on quality processes and methods.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and environmental issues associated with the quality processes and equipment.
- Represent quality in daily GEMBA walk including follow up on any actions.
- Providing local daily direction to the sub team with the STM quality department (Green End QC testing and Calibration) including training plans, objective setting and periodic reviews.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements- BS. degree in Material Science or Engineering is required or relevant experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years related broad focused quality experience is required within a manufacturing environment that utilized CNC & Manual Machining, continuous/batch ovens or other green end manufacturing capabilities.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems in an ISO 9001/AS 9100/AS13100 is desired.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean/Six-Sigma Manufacturing techniques is desired.
- Experience with developing/documenting procedures is required.
- Computer proficiency.
