HR Generalist

We are offering contract employment opportunity for a HR Generalist in Newark, New Jersey. This role falls within the HR industry and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of HR tasks such as onboarding, employee investigations, compliance with labor laws, discipline hearings, and performance management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Conduct thorough employee investigations when necessary, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable labor laws to avoid legal complications.
• Manage discipline hearings, adopting a fair and unbiased approach to all situations.
• Oversee the performance management process, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
• Assist with some payroll duties, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Negotiate contracts effectively, aiming for the most beneficial outcome for the company.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the board.
• Must possess a strong understanding of Compliance within the Human Resources field
• Prior experience in handling Employee Relations is essential
• Proven expertise in Onboarding new employees
• Demonstrated ability in Contract Negotiation
• Experience in Disciplining Employees in a professional manner
• Familiarity with Labor Law and its application in Human Resources
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
