Associate Attorney - San Francisco

Robert Half is working with an outstanding firm looking for a a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join their construction law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented attorney to work on complex construction projects and government contracts, representing a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and administer construction contracts for owners, contractors, designers, and professionals.
• Represent clients in litigation or arbitration matters related to construction projects.
• Manage procurement-related issues, including contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, and claim documentation.
• Handle matters involving equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, change order and extra work disputes, requests for equitable adjustments, construction and design defects, and bid protests.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal analyses to support client strategies.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and admitted to the California Bar.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on general commercial construction, complex projects, and government contracts.
• Proven experience representing owners, contractors, designers, and professionals in all aspects of construction law, including drafting, negotiation, contract administration, and litigation/arbitration.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution in the construction industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
