Accounting Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), vendor statement reconciliations and month-end close duties. The Accounting Specialist must be able to work overtime as needed and be flexible as they will have to work out of 2 locations on a weekly basis.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required
• Handle full cycle AP tasks, including 3-way matching, batching, coding, and check runs
• Manage AP invoices received through an inbox and liaise with warehouse managers to resolve any discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements for AP
• Manage AR tasks, such as posting payments and preparing aging reports for the CFO
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with month-end close operations.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist, Staff Accountant, or similar position.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite and QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create Pivot Tables and use the VLOOKUP function.
• Bachelor's degree accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred, but not required.
