Salary: $ 91,500.00

We have partnered with a financial company in the New York, NY area to provide them with a Business Continuity Analyst.

Prioritized must haves for the Business Continuity Analyst: #1. Bachelors degree or equivalent

#2. Must have experience in business continuity planning

#3. Professional designation Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP, MBCI) is a plus

Responsibilities for the Business Continuity Analyst:
The Business Continuity Analyst reports to the Business Continuity Coordinator in the Planning Department. This role requires a deep understanding of business continuity planning and crisis management methodologies. The business continuity analyst will maintain and improve the business continuity and crisis management functions of the New York Branch to ensure resiliency and compliance with regulatory guidance.

The business continuity analyst will support preparation for and response to actual emergencies, able to assume leadership if needed.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Business Champions on projects that impact the resiliency of the branch, updating the business continuity team on progress.
Responsible for supporting the administration of the branchs business continuity program, including:

Ensuring that program components (Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, plans, strategies, etc.) are current and effective.

Organizing business recovery tests and exercises, and completing After Action Reports which identify issues and lessons learned, including but not limited to: Tabletop Exercises

Work Area Recovery Site tests
Emergency Notification System Tests
Developing schedules and materials for business continuity training and awareness to ensure all staff is proficient in implementing business continuity plans.
Revising and maintaining branch wide policy, procedures, and manuals as needed
Preparing reporting for executive management and the business continuity working group

Administering and managing content on the Business Continuity SharePoint site

Supporting the Crisis Management Team through preparing emergency communications, situational reports, ensure execution of action items, create post-incident reports.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements for the Business Continuity Analyst: Bachelors degree or equivalent with 3 - 5+ years of related experience in business continuity planning

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to interact and work efficiently and effectively with employees across the organization.
Strong administrative skills, including effectiveness in developing project plans to achieve target dates.
Strong and productive team player and comfortable working independently.
Professional designation Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP, MBCI) is a plus.
Prior business continuity experience in a financial institution is preferred.

Experience managing disruptive events is preferred.

Other Key Requirements: Hybrid Schedule - Must be able to commute to the office a few times per week
