Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily on-site construction activities for the 7-story podium building.
• Manage the full scope of work including concrete and wood frame construction, ensuring quality control, adherence to safety regulations, and compliance with building codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and architects to maintain clear communication and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring that milestones are met, and adjust as necessary to prevent delays.
• Lead and mentor site personnel, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Review and approve construction drawings, submittals, and RFIs to ensure they are implemented correctly.
• Ensure safety policies and protocols are enforced and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Monitor budget adherence and work closely with the project manager to address any issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with all building codes and quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience in multifamily construction, with a strong background in podium-style buildings.
• Extensive experience in both concrete and wood frame construction.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large, complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with a diverse team and multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is preferred.
