AC085- Full-Time Nanny - Bedford/Upper West Side, NY

Overview:
A warm and loving family who like to travel are seeking a full-time nanny for their 18-month-old son. They split their time between the UWS and Bedford. The position will be live-in while in Bedford (a private bed, bath, and vehicle will be provided when in residence there).The family will be expanding in August when their second child is due. An NCS will be on board for the first 4 months, after which the candidate will be responsible for both children. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm, with the flexibility to stay later or overnight on occasion.
Only local candidates are being considered. The family is looking to hire as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to;- Full-charge and collaborative care of children
- Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- Meal plan and prep including snacks
- Provide a stimulating and nurturing environment
- Keeping track of the children’s day-to-day activities, milestones, and progress
- Enrich and broaden children’s horizons by reading, encouraging curiosities, educational play, and other age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive and social development
- Proactively research family-friendly outing opportunities locally and ahead of travel
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Child-related housekeeping, including laundry and sanitation of bottles
- Prep and pack/unpack for travel
- Travel with family as requested
Qualifications:
- A true passion for childcare and enriching children’s lives
- Warm, kind, and professional career nanny
- Active and engaging approach with enough stamina to keep up with an infant and young child
- Proactive and desire to grow and learn
- Team-player attitude – don’t mind pitching in here or there (the family has a housekeeper)
- Dependable, trustworthy, and respectful
- Fluent in English
- Communicative
- The ability to speak French is a plus but is not required
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Valid passport
- Pet-Friendly – Family has dogs
- Flexibility with schedule
- Up-to-date MMR, TDap, RSV
- Ability to swim confidently
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits:
$35+ per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are negotiable
