Join UChicago Medicine Care Network, as a Manager of Finance, UCM Care Network in the Burr Ridge, IL location. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.
Responsible for financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and benchmarking for community medical group. Partners with enterprise leaders in creating individual cost center budgets on an annual basis as well as providing budget monitoring, financial planning, and benchmarking support and analysis.Build strong inter-personal relationships with peers that can help smooth the implementation of new processes and budgeting and planning techniques. Partners with Finance Shared Services colleagues to develop and deploy dynamic analytic and reporting solutions for internal finance as well as senior leadership.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial models for the ambulatory medical group, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational goals.
- Oversee the creation and refinement of financial and operational KPIs, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to support decision-making and performance improvement across ambulatory services.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for operational and financial improvements.
- Utilize advanced analytics and data visualization tools to deliver strategic insights on patient volume, payer mix, service line profitability, and other critical financial metrics.
- Partner with ambulatory clinic leaders to evaluate and enhance financial performance, providing actionable recommendations for optimizing resources, improving efficiency, and expanding services.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations, reporting, and decision support.
- Minimum of BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA or MHA preferred.
- High level of analytical ability Must be able to handle multiple priority projects effectively and efficiently.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in medical group or hospital finance. Previous experience with communicating financial data to non-financial people. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and embrace culture of internal service and accountability.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including physician compensation, revenue cycle management, reimbursement methodologies, and cost accounting.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
