Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be primarily responsible for the development and integration of predictive models, using advanced machine learning techniques.

You will also be involved in the ideation and prototyping of new solutions, the maintenance of data pipelines, and mentoring junior data scientists.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and prototype new solutions to address emerging business needs
  • Utilize advanced machine learning techniques such as deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning to develop innovative solutions
  • Lead multiple data science projects ensuring they align with business goals
  • Develop predictive models and integrate them with Business Intelligence tools
  • Address model performance issues such as overfitting, underfitting, and bias
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data retrieval and processing
  • Collaborate with applications and data engineering teams to deploy models at scale
  • Mentor junior data scientists in model development and data handling
  • Engage with Senior Leadership to inform strategic decisions using business intelligence insights
  • Research and adopt cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in data science
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, insights, and communicate findings • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a data scientist role or similar
  • Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark is required
  • Demonstrated experience with Cloud Technologies is essential
  • Strong ability in Data Visualization
  • Proven experience in Algorithm Implementation
  • Advanced skills in Analytics
  • Experience with Apache Hadoop is required
  • Demonstrated ability in API Development
  • Proficiency in AWS Technologies is essential
  • Experience with TensorFlow is highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
