DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for a talented Site Quality Engineer - Senior to join our On-site team specializing in Quality for our SC, Ladson plant.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**

+ **Strong Problem-Solving Skills** : Effectively address plant customer issues and lead containment activities to resolve corrective requests.

+ **Quality Standards Expertise** : Ensure products and processes meet both initial and long-term quality standards, including IATF, customer-specific requirements, APQP, and PPAP documentation.

+ **Change Management Proficiency** : Lead and support change management activities for current products and Value Package Introduction (VPI), ensuring key measures are met through data analysis.

+ **Audit Leadership** : Conduct and support quality audits to maintain high standards and compliance.
+ **Technical Knowledge** : Serve as a quality technical resource, providing guidance and support to other functional areas.

+ **Mentorship Abilities** : Coach and mentor less experienced team members in quality practices, fostering their development.

+ **Continuous Improvement Focus** : Prioritize and lead continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional business partners using methodologies like lean manufacturing, 7-step problem solving, and Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM).

+ **AIAG Core Tools Understanding:** Apply basic knowledge of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) core tools and support Safe Launch initiatives through VPI.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**

Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**Experience:**

Intermediate level of experience required. Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry. Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Lead scrap projects for cost reductions on assembly lines

+ Oversee capability studies on assembly lines

+ Lead Customer complaints problem solving for assembly lines

+ Problem solving knowledge

+ Project management - Scrum Master PMP certification would be a plus.

+ Power BI knowledge

+ Microsoft skills
