We are seeking a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Discovery Bay, California. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and maintaining precise records.

This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and maintain up-to-date accounts payable records.
Ensure invoices are correctly coded and approved before entry, in compliance with company policies.
Manage and maintain customer credit applications, ensuring all data is accurate and updated.
Handle check runs, ensuring the process is carried out on a consistent schedule.
Assist in potential upgrades to the ERP system in the future, contributing to process improvement.
Support the transition of the incumbent to a Project Accounting Role by assisting with training.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and other related tasks.
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operation of the accounts payable function.
Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
Ability to manage Check Runs efficiently
Experience in Coding Invoices accurately
Strong skills in Data Entry
Proven track record in Invoice Processing
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and reliability
Relevant experience in a similar role would be advantageous
