Role Overview:

As the Jacques Marie Mage Assistant Gallery Director, reporting to the Gallery Director, you are a reflection of the brand at the highest level of direct client engagement. The aim is to create an escape from the mundane and welcome clients into the unique and intentional world of Jacques Marie Mage.
As the Assistant Gallery Director you exude confidence and know how. You lead the client engagement with the intention to best suit the client's needs to represent the brand. Through the delivery of the client experience and storytelling you will ensure each client leaves our Galleries in awe remembering the way we made them feel.

Now that they have a dedicated point of contact, each client should leave with a sense of trust and excitement yearning to return again.

Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Gallery Director in executing weekly expectations and planned strategies
  • Express curiosity, passion and excellence to elevate optical processes at JMM
  • Storytell to submerge the client into the unique and intentional world of JMM
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
  • Ensure policies and procedures are being followed
  • Identify key areas to impact and maintain operational excellence
  • Work directly with clients going above and beyond ensuring all their needs are met
  • Fulfill and process all orders to the external lab and ensure we deliver on lead times
  • Ensure all finished eyewear meets our optical standards and the clients
  • Help clients choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs
TEAM DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING
  • Maintain and ignite a positive team culture within the gallery
  • Ensure the team consistently represents JMM as a brand ambassador
  • Exude the brand and product knowledge through storytelling
  • Identify key areas for improvement and development
  • Celebrate wins and successes
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
  • Consistently achieve individual sales targets
  • Deliver consistently elevated client experiences
  • Establish and maintain a strong client book >30% appointments
  • Consistently achieve KPI’s

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years store management experience
  • Experience in a luxury environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, and Shopify
  • Impeccable speaking and communication skills
  • Maintains an entrepreneurial spirit and mentorship mentality
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Experience working in a client based business
  • Optician License is a plus
