Blue Orange CPA Group is a fast-growing professional accounting firm that provides full-service accounting, tax, and assurance services to individuals and businesses locally and throughout the United States. We are hiring an Administrative Assistant in our Newport News office location.

Duties:
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, letters, and forms
  • Assemble tax returns, reports, presentations, and data analysis
  • Scan and organize tax information
  • Coordinate electronic return filing and assist with client follow up
  • Assist with payment collections
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files and records
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks both for the company and for clients
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity
Experience:
  • Previous experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Familiarity with Quick Books for basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in event planning is a plus
