Bookkeeper - Robert Half

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Part time Bookkeeper in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is situated within the finance industry where the selected candidate will handle a series of accounting and bookkeeping duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers
• Responsible for recording fixed assets and maintaining up-to-date records
• Act as a liaison for vendors to address and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Undertake Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management duties as required
• Handle payroll recording and reconciliation tasks effectively
• Execute data entry tasks and maintain accurate records
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports
• Contribute to month-end close procedures
• Utilize QuickBooks for managing and processing financial information.

• Proficient in account reconciliation and bookkeeping procedures.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Competency in completing bank reconciliations.
• Proficient in data entry tasks.
• Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures.
• Experience in managing payroll.
• Proficient in using QuickBooks for financial management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
• Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
