Job Overview:

This role requires a proactive approach to developing and maintaining geospatial databases and ensuring the accuracy and quality of spatial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet specific user needs.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems that leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Perform complex spatial analyses and produce detailed reports according to customer specifications.
• Create and maintain basemaps, tile caches, and conduct imagery analysis.
• Utilize GIS hardware and software to produce maps, spatial databases, and thematic data.
• Create, adjust, correct, convert, and distribute base maps and thematic data.
• Digitize and maintain spatial databases, validate data for accuracy and completeness, and document procedures.
• Update and maintain metadata for new and existing open data items.
• Evaluate external data sources to determine data quality using Esri and other relevant tools.
• Act as a consultant to internal customers on the use, development, and quality assessment of spatial databases.
• Provide user support as needed and contribute to the team’s knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal, with experience in Experience Builder and creating dashboards.
• Required experience with ArcPro and familiarity with web services.
• Experience with FME or Data Interoperability extension is a plus.
• Knowledge of Esri Enterprise (SDE via Catalog) databases is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Spatial Analyst experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively share findings and interact with stakeholders.
