Role Overview

The Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in a financial transformation initiative, supporting the transition to a statewide ledger system. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to manage the migration of financial processes and ensure alignment with the new ledger platform.

• Develop current and future state process maps for financial operations to identify and implement process efficiencies.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of budget processes to streamline operations.
• Support the migration of financial data to the new system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Assess the impact of transitioning to the new Chart of Account (COA) structure on budget processes.
• Design, develop, and code financial processes utilizing databases, Excel, and SQL.
• Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial operations.
• Create and execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems analysis or financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Proven experience in process and data mapping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Experience with Oracle or large-scale transformation implementations.
• Proficiency in tools such as Power Query and PowerPivot.
• Familiarity with process modeling software like IBM Blueworks or Visio.
