Responsibilities:
The DEI & Employee Engagement Manager will provide day to day management and coordination of HR operations related to DEI, engagement and recognition, employee issue resolution, and staff development. This position is a critical role in the Human Resources department and will work with HR and Agency leadership to promote a culturally competent workforce and an inclusive organizational culture.
Responsibilities include: assessing agency systems and policies through a DEI lens and creating resolutions for those that may impede DEI efforts; developing strategies related to employee engagement, DEI, recognition, and staff development and measuring and providing action plans for working conditions, well-being, engagement, and retention; addressing agency-wide employee issues including counseling managers; and developing responses to employee performance concerns.
Qualified candidates must possess:
- solid skills in the areas of developing and facilitating virtual, self-directed, and in-person training;
- experience analyzing and reporting on data, as well as system administration to manage and leverage the agency’s learning management and employee engagement systems;
- the ability to work judiciously with HR leadership to respond to sensitive employee issues using their knowledge of HR laws, organizational culture, and cultural competency.
Full-time Exempt position. Starting salary $65,000/Year
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a centralized human resources environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred.
