Director Of Business Operations

We are in search of an experienced Director of Business Operations to join our team in the logistics and transportation industry located in Jersey City, New Jersey. This role will require expertise in various fields such as DOT Compliance, Fleet management, FMCSA, LTL, Leadership Skills, Logistics, Onboarding, Recruiting, Transportation management, Truck Lines, and Warehouse Management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the operations of the truck lines in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Implement effective fleet management strategies and ensure FMCSA compliance.
• Lead the team, fostering a culture of growth and development.
• Manage logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in transportation.
• Streamline the onboarding process, integrating new hires into the team effectively.
• Take charge of recruitment, identifying and hiring talent that aligns with our needs and values.
• Oversee transportation management, ensuring optimal routes and schedules.
• Manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods.
• Implement leadership skills to drive the team towards achieving business goals.
• Proven expertise in DOT Compliance
• Demonstrable experience in Fleet Management
• Proficiency in FMCSA regulations and compliance
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams
• Familiarity with Logistics and Transportation Management
• Experience in Onboarding and Recruiting processes
• Knowledge of Truck Lines operations and management
• Experience in Warehouse Management
• Ability to develop and implement operational strategies
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using business software and tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
